I am a Person Centred counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the largest professional body for counsellors in the UK. I work to their codes of conduct in terms of ethics, confidentiality and general good practice.
As well as working in private practice I work in the charity sector with clients who are affected by domestic abuse or who have been bereaved. I have worked with many clients with very diverse life experiences bringing many different issues including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger issues, stress, bereavement and loss, addiction, relationship concerns, sexual abuse , problems with work or family, low self-esteem, lack of confidence or self-worth, trauma or general feelings of unease or isolation.
Training, qualifications & experience :
BACP approved Higher Professional Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling
Substance Misuse Certificate Level 4 endorsed by the BACP,
Substance Misuse Award Level 2.
Certificate in Bereavement Counselling – Cruse Bereavement Care
Sudden and Traumatic Grief
Working with Domestic Abuse
Level 3 in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Certificate in Counselling Studies and Skills (CPCAB level 2 and 3)
